About

Michelle Eklund is a Swedish-Italian actress, dancer, and filmmaker originally from Stockholm, Sweden, and based in Los Angeles.

Michelle began performing in childhood, starting dance at age two. She trained extensively in ballet, contemporary, modern, and hip-hop, with a dance journey spanning Sweden, Amsterdam, Italy, London, and Los Angeles. Her training includes the Royal Swedish Ballet School and European School of Ballet, alongside intensives with The Royal Ballet School, La Scala, and the Bolshoi Ballet. Her live performance experience includes dancing at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles.

Her interest in storytelling expanded into acting and filmmaking, leading her to Los Angeles to study at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute. Her studies there have included scene study, movement, voice, and character work. She created, wrote, directed, and starred in the short film Taxi & Yaya, which received Best Writing at the New York Film Festival.

Raised between Swedish and Italian cultures, Michelle’s international background and career in the United States have shaped her personal and artistic perspective. She speaks Swedish, Italian, and English, with some Spanish. Her creative interests encompass storytelling on screen, on stage, through movement, and behind the camera, with an emphasis on collaboration and exploring different people, cultures, and perspectives. She continues to pursue opportunities to create, develop her craft, and connect with new collaborators.
